world's oldest major tennis tournament started
in 1877 and is played on the grounds of All
England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club in London.
Almost all tennis
tournaments, association and clubs started with
the words Lawn tennis in their names, the All
England club is the last remaining major even
which is still played on grass |
